Mrs. Anderson's bread warmer is a high-fired terracotta tile, 5" x 3" x 0.5", 6.6 oz. Heat it 15 minutes at 350°F in a toaster or oven. With tongs, set the hot tile in a cloth-lined basket, pile on rolls or a loaf, and fold the cloth over. Official copy lists about 45 minutes of warmth. Heat safe to 1112°F.
Let the tile cool, then rinse in clean water only. Soap can leave a taste in terracotta.
