The Du Hoc is a big karambit-style fixed blade designed by Forged by War designer Austin McGlaun to honor his late uncle, who won the Silver Star at Pointe du Hoc. It was refined with Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, from the tip of the recurved hawkbill blade to the ring at the end of the handle.
The 5.10" blade is a thick 0.20" of SK5 carbon steel with a black powder coat, the G10 handle grips well in any conditions, and the thermoplastic sheath has mounting options. Part of CRKT's Forged by War program, which teams CRKT with veterans to design mission-ready knives; the designer earns a commission and a portion of the profits goes to the designer's charity of choice, Purple Heart Homes for this knife.
